Peaks Academy of Trampoline

15 Oct 2024

Peaks Academy of Trampoline is expanding its services for the 2024-2025 academic year, continuing its mission to support schools and trampoline coaches across the UK.

Based in Sheffield, Peaks Academy provides tailored sessions for both mainstream and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) schools. The academy offers a unique approach to inclusive sports, developing skills and confidence through adaptive trampolining sessions that cater to students' varying abilities. These sessions are designed not only for physical exercise but also to enhance balance, coordination, and mental well-being.

For SEND schools, Peaks Academy offers a flexible approach that combines gymnastics and trampoline exercises, promoting freedom of movement and creativity. These sessions are designed to support students' individual needs, allowing them to explore physical activity in a way that boosts both physical and emotional well-being. This inclusive approach is backed by trained coaches who also offer services to other trampoline clubs, helping them implement similar inclusive and adaptive programs.

Additionally, Peaks Academy has launched a specialized training program aimed at supporting coaches from other trampoline clubs and sports facilities. This initiative ensures that coaches are well-prepared to deliver high-quality, inclusive trampolining sessions. With an emphasis on both physical and social development, Peaks Academy's training covers best practices in teaching diverse student groups, from mainstream classes to sessions tailored for SEND participants.
